Visiting Google office
Less than half‑year after the last Sibers’ trip to the United States across 12 states during six weeks, Vlad Labetsky, our Sibers Outsourcing Consultant, flew back to spend another three month there meeting with our clients.
This time we′ve decided to concentrate our efforts inside the borders of one state instead of trying to cover as much as we can. After a few discussions and asking for advice from our clients, we decided on Austin, Texas as a location for Vlad’s three‑month stay.
Along with obvious reasons like being the second state by population and incredibly welcoming people, nowadays Texas has a great microclimate for startups and generally very active IT‑related life: every day in Austin or nearby are held events and meetups, which can be extremely helpful in building relationships with the local IT‑crowd.

The agenda for these three month was overwhelming, but we squeezed into the schedule as much as we could. A few times face to face meetings with clients turned into a long prototyping and wireframing sessions, which allowed to seemingly reduce time needed to get from an idea to the actual development — we already managed to start works on several projects.
Of course, our team was extremely excited about meetings with our long‑term clients. Among the others, this time Vlad managed to meet Ben, with whom we worked on a project for paramedical services.
90 days of Vlad’s non‑stop working marathon provided us with valuable experience. We also managed to set strong and productive relationships with several Texas‑based digital agencies. We do believe that these first steps to reducing the distance (figurative as well as geographical) between us our clients will lead to the fuller, more fruitful collaboration in the future.
