Project Background
Back in 2015, Cory, the founder of Velociterra and our future long-term client, came to us with a very clear ask: “Design a killer order processing system.” At that point he was already running multiple brands in the custom decoration industry — from embroidered apparel and emblems to other branded products — and needed software that could keep up with the volume and complexity of his B2B orders.
By then, he already had nearly two decades of experience in custom apparel and decoration. He started in the mid-1990s selling collegiate merchandise and later launched his own vector art and digitizing services, which went on to win industry awards. In other words, he knew the production side of the business inside out — and also understood how much time and money could be lost to inefficient workflows.
The request for an order management system (OMS) came during a period of intense growth. A major retail client was sending in large, repeat B2B orders for branded apparel, and the existing mix of email, spreadsheets, and standalone tools made it hard to keep everything in sync. Orders, artwork preparation, production, and shipping all lived in separate places, and every handoff increased the risk of errors and delays.
We started by turning that “killer order processing system” brief into a focused web application for managing embroidery orders end to end: from intake and artwork preparation to production and shipping. Within the first month, we moved from early prototypes to a working system in production, and Cory’s feedback shifted from “Looks normal” to “This is excellent work. Very nice.”
In 2017, members of our Sibers team visited Velociterra’s facilities in the U.S. and spent time with the people behind the brands. Seeing the production lines, artwork teams, and multiple labels under the same roof gave us a much deeper understanding of how the business actually ran and helped build additional trust on both sides. It also made it clear that the initial OMS was only the first step: over the next years, that single tool would grow into a broader ecosystem of interconnected systems supporting Velociterra’s expanding B2B operations.
What started as a single embroidery OMS gradually evolved into a broader digital ecosystem. Each new business need — a new brand, a new product line, a new way to serve B2B customers — translated into another service built on the same foundation, tightly integrated with the rest.
Solution
Each part of the business had its own system, often built at different times and by different teams. Our challenge was to turn this landscape into a single, coherent ecosystem: connect ordering, design, production, and logistics, and do it in a way that would stay scalable, secure, and manageable as Velociterra’s B2B operations grew.
Core order management
The foundation of the operation is a dedicated order management system for embroidery and other decorated products. What used to be separate, manual workflows became a unified platform handling order creation, artwork approval, pricing, payments, production scheduling, and shipping preparation. Multi-tenancy support lets Velociterra run multiple brands on the same core system — each with its own product lines, rules, and fulfillment setup.
Customer-facing storefronts
To streamline B2B sales, we developed online portals for corporate and wholesale buyers — from restaurant chains and sports clubs to retailers and event organizers. These storefronts let business customers browse, customize, and order branded products through self-service sites instead of email threads. Orders are automatically routed into the production pipeline, which shortens turnaround times, reduces manual touchpoints, and improves the overall experience for Velociterra’s B2B clients.
Design tools
We rebuilt the legacy artwork editor as a modern web application using React and ASP.NET. Through a real-time vector editor, customers can upload or create artwork, see it on apparel mockups, and finalize designs before ordering. On the production side, the system handles the heavy lifting around artwork preparation — including vectorization, digitization, and approvals — so files reach the machines in a ready-to-use state.
Artwork storage and sharing
As the business expanded, managing thousands of design assets efficiently became critical. We built a set of services for centralized storage, S3-based file management, previews, and secure sharing between platforms. AI-assisted tagging makes it easy for staff to find artwork by style, color, or theme, turning what used to be a chaotic archive into a searchable, reusable library that supports day-to-day production and new B2B programs alike.
Infrastructure and automation
On the infrastructure side, we moved from a single on-premises server to a containerized AWS setup with managed databases and centralized logging. At the same time, we automated accounting and logistics by integrating with Velociterra’s finance and shipping providers. In practice, that means fewer manual steps, more predictable operations, and a platform that can scale with new brands and order volumes without constant firefighting.

Results
What began as a single tool for embroidery orders has grown into a long-term partnership and a digital ecosystem. Over the years, we’ve rebuilt legacy software, developed new platforms from scratch, and integrated them into a unified system that now supports Velociterra’s day-to-day B2B operations.
The outcome is not just a set of separate applications, but a connected pipeline where:
- business customers design and place orders online;
- artwork is prepared and approved with minimal back-and-forth;
- orders flow to the right production facilities, with shipping documents generated automatically;
- teams track progress in dashboards instead of piecing it together from inboxes and spreadsheets.
The entire cycle — from design to delivery — now runs with far less manual intervention, saving time, reducing errors, and making it easier to handle steady growth in order volume.
From a business perspective, the platform gives Velociterra clearer visibility and more predictable operations. Orders move through a consistent workflow, accounting and shipping are integrated instead of being separate bottlenecks, and new brands or programs can be added without reinventing the tech stack each time. Underneath it all, a modern AWS-based infrastructure provides the stability, performance, and security the business relies on.
Since 2015, Velociterra’s operations have been backed by a digital ecosystem built and evolved in partnership with Sibers. As new brands, products, and services appear, we work together to fold them into the same platform instead of spinning up one-off tools — keeping the technology coherent while the business keeps moving forward.
Customer Says
We've partnered with Sibers for a few years and are highly satisfied with their results. They handle 5 core platforms for us, with more projects on the horizon. Their skilled project managers and talented developers ensure effective communication, providing daily updates and addressing our daily concerns. Sibers even assigns a customer satisfaction representative to periodically check in on our experience. Overall, Sibers has been an exceptional partner, delivering excellent outcomes and outstanding support. (May 2023)
I've been working with Sibers since August 2015 and very happy with the quality and communication process. Most of my overseas contractors are less creative and don't dig into what makes sense for the business and users. Sibers sees the challenges and provides suggestions well in advance to prevent a lot of wasted coding hours. We're planning to grow our business with Sibers. (May 2018)
This project turned out great and was well regarded by the users and customers. It was a pleasure to work together. (October 2017)
