Over the weekend, on the 5 and 6 December, semi‑finals of the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest took place for participants from North‑Eastern European region. Competition was held simultaneously in four cities: in Barnaul and St. Petersburg, Russia, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan and in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Sibers has been supporting talented young programmers, sponsoring the semi‑finals of the ACM in Barnaul for the last several years. This year was no exception.
This time 39 teams gathered in Barnaul, coming from Siberia, the Russian Far East, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The team of Novosibirsk State University became winners in Barnaul group. They showed strong results, solving 6 problems out of 12 and returned home with the gold cup and prizes from Sibers.

14 teams, which showed the best results in the region, will continue to compete for the title of the winners of the ACM 2016. The World Finals will be held on 15—20 May 2016 in Thailand in Phuket.
