We always knew that our Sibers team is about real heroes because resolving very complicated issues and developing sophisticated software. But sometimes it feels like proving to yourself that you can do more. So, 13 Sibersers did demonstrate their physical well-being and courage at the Race of Heroes in July 2017.
Our valiant Sibersers before the race start
10 truly strong men and 3 quite daring girls passed 5.6 miles through irregular terrain of military training center and forced 34 obstacles. It was at night time and at +59°F.
Yet another obstacle
It took nearly 4 hours to get to the finish line, because obstacles were real challenges for both the team spirit and the physical strengths of participants. The most heavy-going turned out to be “Molehill” that was a pool with muddy cold water you must jump into and slippery mud slop you should scramble on with the rope. The guys spent there about half an hour and froze slightly (ok, honestly, froze to death), but it was just the beginning. Then they creeped under IFV shooting, slided over the clay, climbed high rise barriers and dived into other pools over three meter height. But all this went smoothly because of helping and encouraging each other.
Slightly muddied real heroes!
When Sibers team hit the line they were met by cheering colleagues and awarded with hero-badges. After taking recreative hot shower our heroes met the sunrise while partaking of the field kitchen meals and sweet tea, and all the goings-on an hour ago felt like something quite incredible and precious moments.
