Not only is Sibers team good at coding and creating classy apps, but also pretty savvy at solving logic puzzles and generally erudite. We keep on practicing at an intellectual show game. Wanna know how quick-witted your outsourcing team is?
Quiz, Please! is an intellectual show-game, which takes place every week or two in one of the public places of Novosibirsk. Well, over the last half a year we’ve become frequent guests there. Up to 50+ teams accept the challenge to prove they are the best connoisseurs of world history, literature, movies, music and everything you could imagine.
Friendly and lively atmosphere whole night together with tricky questions, puns and other stuff make each game a great entertainment and real fun, and gives us plenty of curious facts to fill the coffee and lunch breaks a next Friday to entertain those who missed the game.
20,000 leagues under the sea — what's that in kilometers? What did the oil deficit in 1944 in Japan lead to and what does it to do with kamikaze? Can you tell the exact number of languages in Fb in 60 secs time? Or name a famous ten year old pop song by its modern hip-hop cover? How many of us can recall childish books by theirs excerpt? A knife made as a stork which is passed from generation to generation in German families — who could imagine it's for umbilical cord?
Just like in outsource software development, different people and different experiences are highly important. Since it's a team game, it's not like who is the first to get and to shout out loud the right answer. It's about associations — hearing "a petition signed in circle — why?" one says "where to start reading from?", a second one adds "and who's the first?" and the third claims: that's it! Not clear whose signature's the first — and here's the answer: for not clear who is the first to sign and who is the main instigator. And yes, it’s correct :)
Altogether we've got a number of prizes, and looks like pretty soon we shall need an extra wall for our certificates, and our own wine cellar for the sparkling wine won.
